The Logan Community Group Alliance has launched a series of Community Conversations about the role of smaller locally-based organisations with a community development focus in the Logan region.As part of this series, the Alliance is working with the Logan City Council to host an event inviting community boards, management committees, staff and volunteers of all community centres in the region to meet and discuss:
Ways of working more closely together.
The issues and challenges that face community centres.
Ways we might celebrate Neighbour Day in March.
A special invitation to community boards and management committees:
Community Boards/management committees are especially invited to attend this event. This meeting will assist community boards/management committees to understand the changing environment their centre is operating in and help them to identify ways of working together, to build capacity and agree on strategies where our collective voiceis heard. It will be an opportunity for community boards and management committees to meet each other, to strengthen their relationships and consider their strategic role in the region.
