The Deception Bay Child & Family Alliance and CD QLD invite you to the 2013 Community Development Conference which will be held in Deception Bay at the Bay Youth and Sports Centre on Friday 1st November 2013.聽 This year鈥檚 conference will explore how, in the context of significant change confronting the community sector in Queensland with shrinking resources from government and an ever-increasing demand and expectation for services, we can embrace the opportunities to work in our communities that promote and enhance citizen led change.
Presentations will be focused on:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Working with our communities to bring about change
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strengthening and using structures of all kinds for action for change
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supporting ourselves within a corporate environment.
This year the Deception Bay conference will be supported by accompanying events on the days before and after:
Among the workshops on Sat 2nd November the Coalition of Community Boards will be holding an event targeting staff and board members of community based organisations covering:
(i) New Strategies for a Changing Context
(ii) Staff and Boards: Operating well Together, and
(iii) Coalition of Community Boards.
